Who we are
Basis Point Search is a recruitment practice based in Houston, Texas, and is responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach us at [email protected].
What we collect
For candidates: name, contact details, employment history and professional background — the information ordinarily found on a professional profile or CV — together with notes from any conversations we have with you. For clients: business contact details and correspondence.
Where it comes from
Most often from your public professional profile, from information you give us directly, or from a referral by someone in your industry. We do not buy candidate data from list brokers.
Why we use it
To assess whether you might fit a specific role, to contact you about it, and — only with your explicit permission on each occasion — to introduce you to a client. We do not sell personal information to anyone.
Who sees it
Nobody, unless you tell us they can. We do not share your details with a client until you have agreed to that specific introduction. We store this information in ordinary business software and take reasonable measures to keep it secure.
How long we keep it
For as long as it is useful for the purpose above, and no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you ask us to keep it longer or to delete it sooner.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop contacting you. Email us and we will act on it. Asking us to stop is not a negotiation — one message is enough.
Changes
If we change this notice, we will update the date at the top of this page.
